Campus Life
Gyeongnam’s national flagship university representing Korea
Building 1 of this Dormitory is called 'Gyeongyanggwan', and the name was given when the building was completely constructed and opened for students enrolled in the College of Marine Science on March 1st, 1977. After that, Building 2 was added next to Building 1 in 1992. Building 3 was constructed in September 2011 to enhance the convenience of school life as a female-only dormitory, and has been operated in its purpose of fostering the genuine intellectuals outside the lecture rooms through an orderly communal living that cultivates the awareness of democracy and self-discipline. In March 2015, remodeling works were made on Building 1 and Building 2, changing their appearances into a modern style. Thus, the dormitory is equipped with 216 rooms for living as well as affiliated convenience facilities such as studying rooms, and also making efforts to let the 494 students spend their substantial university days here.
