The Department was established for the purpose of training secondary school geography teachers.
Its curricula to develop the qualifications of pre-service teachers of geography consist of theories of structure, function, and change process of the surface space, which are fields of human activity. In particular, interest in each region of the world is increasing in Korean society pursuing globalization. In order to scientifically deal with the research subjects related to geography, the students make use of aerial and satellite photographs as well as various kinds of maps in their use of various analysis methods using computers.
