The department of Clothing and Textiles, established in 1978, is located in the area with rich heritage of silk production. We offers undergraduate program with systematic curriculum including fashion design, textile science, clothing construction, apparel CAD, fashion marketing, and oriental costume to train and foster as fashion specialists.
The graduate program is designed to improve scholarly investigation into specific research areas of clothing and textiles.
Our graduates choose careers as fashion designers, merchandisers, visual merchandisers, buyers, brand managers, fashion entrepreneurs, technical designers, modelists, computer pattern designers, textile scientists, textile merchandisers, fashion editors, museum curators, colorists, stylists, 3D vitual clothing designers, and arts & culture education instructiors.
