Department of Child and Family Studies
Child and Family Studies predict child development and family life according to the social changes based upon a broad understanding of pedology and family studies. The Department makes positive contributions to the healthy development of children and improves the quality of family life by way of fostering the experts who undertake child care, family education, and consultation.
The child care business is expected to maintain at least the current magnitude of industry as long as the government’s free child care policy continues, in spite of the reduced population of infants due to the extremely low birth rate in South Korea.Also, as the government policy to strengthen the quality of child care is enforced, cultivating an excellent teaching staff for child care becomes an urgent matter in order to ensure the quality of child care.Accordingly, there is an increase of financial support to improve the treatment of child care teachers and their working environments.
