Food and Nutrition


In recent years, our dietary life environment has changed greatly owing to economic growth, the increased prticipation of women in the workforce, globalization of markets, advancements in the distribution industry, and the growth of institutional food service and food service industries.


The Department of Food and Nutriton focuses on the stduy of health, disease prevention and longevity. The Department’s educational goal is to help people choose the right foods in their rapidly evolving dietary lives and foster professional personnel to make contributions in improving their overall health and welfare.


The Department’s curriculum includes sitology, food hygiene, nutrition science, dietary therapy, nutrition education, institutional food service, and cooking principles. The Department provides academic training and fosters nutrition specialists who are capable of prociding nutrition service and meal service for disease prevention and health promotion. After the students pass the national nutritionist examination, students obtain a nutritionist license to work in nutrition-related industries, hospitals, schools, public clinics, and social welfare facilities as a nutrition teacher, clinic nutritionist, meal service nutritionist, health nutritionist, counseling nutritionist.
