What is sedimentology?

Sedimentology is the study of all processes by which sediments are transported and deposited.

• Kind of sediment included commonplace gravel, sand, and mud in rivers, lakes, and the sea but also pyroclast, lava produced by a volcanic explosion. .
• Sedimentology offers information about paleoclimate and geological time scale. That contributed to human economic activities and the prevention of natural disasters.
