The Department deals with increasingly serious marine environmental issues and sets its goal to foster creative 

and dynamic professional engineers who will lead the future environmental industry. 

It built an industry-university-industrial cooperative research system to cope with marine environmental issues 

and to carry out on-the-ground, prompt, and lasting research studying the characteristics 

of marine pollution to make permanent contributions in solving marine environmental pollution problems.
