Public administration is a study that systematically explores the phenomena related to the activities of the government in charge of managing the state. To put it more narrowly, it's a study of how government as a large bureaucracy works and what means and methods are there to work more preferably.
In short, public administration has a practical nature that presents prescriptions and means for government activities to be desirable, as well as the original purpose of the study to systematically explore phenomena related to government activities and accumulate knowledge and theories about these phenomena.
As a large bureaucratic organization, how the government should be structurally designed, how to manage people carrying out specific activities in that structure, and how to mobilize and allocate resources needed to carry out activities are traditional areas of public administration. Through the accumulation and transfer of knowledge in these areas, the ability to manage organizations in various areas, whether public or private, is cultivated.
The Department of Public Administration provides students with hardware-level management skills, such as designing and operating organizational structures, recruiting and operating personnel, and mobilizing and operating resources, as well as logic and methods of solving real-world problems.
As an administrative student, if we faithfully cultivate the organization's management and problem-solving skills without giving up attention to the values and norms that the national community, which is our home, should pursue, we will be used as essential talents in various types of organizations such as government agencies, private companies, and NGOs.
