Welcome to the Department of Physics Education at Gyeongsang National University :)Our department originated from the science education department established in 1969 to train science teachers necessary in Gyeongnam, and has been steadily training science teachers for more than 50 years. There is a saying that 10 years will change Gangsan Mountain, but it is not a short time.Teachers who graduated from our department are in charge of science education in middle and high schools across the country, including Gyeongnam. Our country will need creative talent in the future. Raising students into great talent is rewarding as a teacher.To become a physics teacher, you have to study physics and pedagogy together. You will learn the beauty of nature while studying physics, and you will be able to understand humans better through pedagogy. So it won't be easy, but it will be a meaningful study.Our department teaches mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, quantum mechanics, modern physics, thermal physics, and physical education in combination with theory and experiment, and provides various educational practice opportunities. In addition, the curriculum is organized according to the changing times to prepare the best way to become a teacher. During school, we provide special lectures on appointment, and we are also doing our best to pass the appointment test by setting up a reading room to prepare for the appointment test and operating it 24 hours a day.As a result of the efforts of our physics education professors and students, recently, graduates of our department have achieved about 10% of the nation's recruitment in the physics field of the appointment exam.
