- 약력 Lowell Sanborn is the International Faculty Coordinator for the Department of Language Education. He serves as the Senate Representative of the Faculty of Education at the University of British Columbia, where he is completing a Doctorate of Education. His work focuses on communication strategies that support learning and educator identity formation. He received his Master’s of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Birmingham, where he focused on discourse analysis and motivation. He completed his TESL certificate with Practicum while completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.

약력 KC Washington is a Foreign Language Lecturer in the Department of Language Education (DLE). She has an Associate of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Bachelor of Arts in English from Brooklyn College, and a Master of Arts in Bilingual Education/ESL and Reading from the University of Texas Permian Basin. Her pedagogical research foci are student motivation, communication, critical thinking, and writing. She has published academic articles in The English Connection (TEC), the KOTESOL Journal, and KOTESOL Proceedings. As Vice President of the Busan-Gyeongnam chapter of Korea Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (KOTESOL), a professional development organization with chapters throughout the country, KC cohosts, creates, coordinates, and participates in symposiums, workshops, presentations, and other events. She is the creator and coordinator of the Dual-Purpose Initiative (DPI), which curates workshops and presentations to address the needs of long-term expat educators and educators who intend to return to their home country. She is also the Director of Communications in charge of social media and the bi-monthly newsletter. KC is a published novelist, freelance writer, and independent historian contributing articles on feminism, African American culture and civil rights, history, and travel. She currently contributes to BlackPast.org and Medium.com, among other publications. KC is an active member of the DLE department, creating social events for students, such as English Conversation & Cocktails (C&C), writing for the department blog, acting as a judge for the Jinju English Film Festival (JEFF), and serving as judge and editor for various student writing contests.

Stephen Alexander-Larking(스테판 알렉산더 라킨)

- 약력A long time resident of Jeonnam province, Mr. Alexander-Larkin started his teaching career in the public school system. After two successful years in Gwangyang, he moved to university positions in Naju and the Jeonju area. In 2020, he started teaching for the prestigious Gyeongsang National University in Jinju. With the construction of committees, Mr. Larkin became chair of the research committee and embarked on several highly demanding projects. With his team, he successfully directed the Jinju English Film Festival (JEFF). This festival brought in attendees from around the city and short films for all ages from around the world for them to enjoy.

- 약력Joshua K. Haasbroek is a Foreign Language Lecturer in the Department of Language Education with nearly a decade of experience teaching English as a foreign language in South Korea. He first completed a qualification in Graphic and Web Design before pursuing a degree in Communication Sciences with a focus on Media and Journalism. In 2017, he earned a Master’s degree in History from the University of the Free State, after which he pursued a career in English language education and obtained a TEFL certification. His professional interests include ESL curriculum and textbook development, presentation and public speaking instruction, educational technology integration, and multimedia-based language learning. Joshua’s teaching approach emphasizes practical communication skills, learner engagement, and the development of students' confidence as independent English users.

- 약력Kevin McGarity is an English teacher who has lived and worked in Jinju for more than twenty years. Originally from the UK, he has taught in universities and schools in Korea, the UK and China, working with students ranging from trainee teachers to university undergraduates and high school learners. Alongside teaching, he has helped develop language programmes, written course materials and textbooks, and presented research on language learning, student motivation, and pronunciation in English as an international language (EIL). Outside the classroom, Kevin is interested in community projects, languages, and cultural exchange. He has volunteered with youth programmes, multicultural support centres, and educational initiatives both in Korea and abroad. He is also the organiser of a multicultural football club, built around the idea that everyone should have the chance to play regardless of background or ability.

- 약력 Jessica Porter is a Foreign Language Lecturer in the Department of Language Education at Gyeongsang National University. She holds a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from the University of Derby, United Kingdom, and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Exeter. Since relocating to South Korea in 2018, Jessica has gained extensive experience teaching English across a variety of educational settings, including public elementary schools, private language academies, and higher education. Prior to her work in Korea, she supported adult learners in the United Kingdom in achieving their BTEC qualifications through workplace-based education and training. Her professional interests include language education, learner development, and cross-cultural communication. She is passionate about creating engaging learning environments that help students build confidence and practical language skills.Outside of teaching, Jessica enjoys music and lyric writing, walking, and learning golf. She also has a keen interest in true crime and psychological analysis. In addition to her academic career, she operates a small business in the United Kingdom and is currently exploring further postgraduate study to complement her entrepreneurial interests and professional development.

- Chris Ginn is currently a Foreign Language Lecturer in the Department of Language Education at Gyeongsang National University. He holds an undergraduate degree in Linguistics and Language Studies from York University, Toronto, Canada. He completed a Masters of TESOL from The University of Sunderland in 2016 after wanting to pursue his studies further. In 2020, he completed a course and certification to become a classroom certified teacher in Washington D.C. - specializing in ESL education. Chris has been teaching in Korea since 2012. During this time he has taught at elementary schools, kindergartens, a library in an international ‘school’, an Air Force related high school, and at the university/adult level. He also recently dedicated himself to learning Korean full time for eight months. He lives in the countryside with his wife and two dogs. He enjoys the challenges that come with living outside of the city and with having a garden, small farm, and orchard to take care of. In his free time, he enjoys reading, walking his dogs, playing computer games, and more recently has been exploring his artistic side through stained glass.
Joseph Biasiello(조셉 비아셀로)

약력 Joseph Biasiello is a Foreign Language Lecturer in the Division of Language Education (DLE). He has a BA in English from the University of Iowa and an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Limerick, as well as a CertTESOL from Trinity College London. His research interests include stylistics and the ongoing advances in natural language generation (NLG) technologies and artificial intelligence (AI). Throughout his career, Joseph has had the opportunity to work with adult professionals of all language levels (A1-C1), as well as young learners, both in private language academies and public elementary schools (Grades 3-6). Outside of his academic pursuits, he is also working on various creative projects such as music, poetry, and fiction composition.
