The Department of Smart Energy and Mechanical Engineering at Gyeongsang National University is training the next            generation of engineering leaders who are ready to solve the complex and challenging projects of the 21st century. 

In particular, we are focusing on research topics for the design and development of mechanical devices using renewable          energy (solar energy, wind energy, hydrogen, and hybrid or electronic vehicles) supported by the Korean government            based on mechanical engineering.

•  Basic research and applications for the design, manufacturing, and operation of mechanical systems based on mechanical   engineering 
•  Industries related to Energy and mechanical engineering including automobiles, shipbuilding, and power generation
•  Convergence between majors including materials and energy and various fields related to the 4th industrial revolution
•  Majors: Thermal and fluid engineering, materials, fracture design engineering, dynamics and control engineering
