Introduction (Applied Mechanics Lab)

This lab focuses on fracture mechanical analysis (creation and progress of cracks) for safety

evaluation of high temperature and room temperature crack structures, and in particular,

computational stress and deformation analysis are performed using finite element analysis

programs such as ADINA, SAMCEF, ANSYS, and ABAQUS.

In addition, non-destructive evaluation techniques are also being studied to evaluate the

safety of various structures and damage to new materials.

The supervisor obtained a certificate of industrial machinery technician after many years of

field experience at Korea Heavy Industries Technology Research Institute.

Currently, a member of various national examinations and evaluation committee for national

technology development projects, and has won the Science and Technology Excellence Paper

Award from the Federation of Korean Science and Technology Organizations.
