The horticulture industry is one of the most competitive fields in Korea beyond Gyeongnam province.
Division of Horticultural Science educates and studies complex theories and applied technologies on the rational production techniques of horticultural crops, genetic breeding and genomics research for improving excellent varieties, and plant-environment interactions.
With the high-technology scienc fields (BT / IT / NT / ET / CT), environmental control and utilization of horticultural cultivation facilities such as plant factories and greenhouses, digital breeding using big data in horticulture, We are cultivating professional manpower for innovation. In addition, we educate theories and techniques for improving the quality of life through environmental horticulture.
Based on this, the Division of Horticulture Science aims to cultivate young scientists who will lead the future-oriented horticultural science field through the operation of excellent faculty and laboratories specialized in horticulture major and to realize the continuous development of diversified and advanced horticultural industry fields.
