Overview

It is a new discipline that applies technologies developed in electronic engineering, such as computer control and information processing to mechanical engineering. The term, mechatronics comes from the combination of mechanics and electronics. It studies the key and practical technologies of machinery, electricity, electronics, computer, information, telecommunication, and control engineering. The technology which combines all or some of the areas above is applied to developing new products, processing, design, and production in order to present simultaneous engineering solutions. Mechatronics engineering will receive more spotlight in the future in accordance with the trend of ultra-miniaturization, composite systemization, and digitalization of science and technology.
