Gyeongsang National University Graduate School has not only grown into a global research-oriented university focusing on specialized fields such as biotechnology, mechanical aviation, and nanomaterials, but has also educated numerous respected and trusted leaders for their competency and character.

The Graduate School has transitioned to a demand-oriented system focused on the 3 pillars of open research, research and education while discovering young talent early through our bachelor-master linked programs and master-doctoral integrated programs. Additionally, we have the sufficient infrastructure to allow you to pursue your dreams and scientific creativity.

First, we have been nurturing excellent talent through the Excellent Graduate School Development Team’s BK21 program, since the inception of this government initiative in 1999, and have received continuous funding for the past 20 years including stage 2 and stage 3 funding.                 

Second, we have been leading the acquisition of large national projects such as the National Core Research Center (NCRC), the World Class Research-Oriented University (WCU) Development Program, and the Next-Generation Bio-Green Project.                                                       

Third, we are focusing on cutting-edge research collaboration with key research institutes supported by the Ministry of Education in areas such as climate change adaptation in agricultural and bio-industry, the convergence of green energy, and plant signal system engineering.        

Fourth, in the field of applied life sciences, we have been running a dual doctoral degree program in collaboration with top universities such as Purdue University and the University of Missouri in the United States since 2004. We have also expanded the globalization of graduate students through exchange programs with 22 countries, 117 universities, 3 organizations, and 6 research institutes.
