Relevant Regulations  Article 90 of the Regulations of Gyeongsang National University and Chapter 3 of the Regulations   for the Conferral of Graduate Degree  Requirements for Submitting a Thesis for Degree Conferment: ★ Those who have completed the relevant degree program     (a registered research student for the semester of thesis submission) or are scheduled to complete      the degree in the same semester and have passed the foreign language and comprehensive examinations - For those who have completed the relevant degree program, they      must not exceed the thesis submission deadline (3 years for Master's, 5 years for doctoral)      after completion (except for cases where 3 years have passed after completing the master’s program and      5 years after completing the doctoral program, in which case, registration as a research student       for the semester is mandatory to qualify for thesis submission) -Those who completed the Research Ethics Course (mandatory for students enrolledin the year 2017 and there after) ★ Full-time doctoral scholarship students cannot submit their thesis until completing their obligations          starting from the 1st semester of the academic year 2018

Foreign Language Test

  -Test Period

  March and September ※ Operational methods subject to change

 -Application

  Apply within the designated dates for each semester through the Integrated Student Information System

 - Eligibility

  Enrolled or graduated master's or doctoral program students recommended by their advisor

 -Test Subjects

  Choose one among German, French, Japanese, Chinese, Classical Chinese, and Russian

  -Test Content

  University-level foreign language proficiency within the scope of designated textbooks for each subject

 -Passing Criteria

  Obtain a score of 70 or higher out of 100 points

 -Exemption from Foreign Language Test

ﾷ Applicants who have achieved scores equal to or higher than the officially designated foreign 

  language proficiency test scores, as specified by the Graduate School criteria, may apply 

  for exemption by uploading their transcripts to the Integrated Student Information System

ﾷ Completion with a passing grade in graduate-level English courses offered 

   by the Institute of International Education*

ﾷ For international students, completion of Korean courses with a passing grade as designated 

  by the Graduate School or achieving Level 4 or higher on the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK)

※Completing graduate-level English courses

 (or Korean courses for international students) with a passing grade will grant an exemption 

 from the foreign language test in the following semester 

 (collectively handled by the Graduate School)
