Requirements for Submitting a Thesis as Part of Degree Conferment: ▶Individuals who have completed the relevant degree program or are scheduled to complete it in the same semester of thesis submission; have done research ethics education; passed comprehensive exams and foreign language exams; and have been recommended by their advisor -However, for those who have completed the relevant degree program, registration as a research student for the semester is mandatory if the thesis submission deadline (3 years for Master's, 5 years for doctoral) has passed after completion in order to be eligible for thesis submission ▶Students in doctoral degree programs who receive full scholarships but fail to fulfill obligations will have their eligibility to submit their thesis restricted

Comprehensive Test

(Students apply individually through the Integrated Student Information System)

Mid-March and Mid-September
-Eligibility
ᄋ Master's program: Students recommended by their advisor, who have earned at least 18 credits
(excluding prerequisites)
ᄋ Doctoral program: Students recommended by their advisor, who have earned at least 24 credits
(excluding prerequisites)
ᄋ Integrated Master’s and Doctoral program: Students recommended by their advisor,
who have earned at least 40 credits (excluding prerequisites)
-Test Subject
Subjects recommended by the advisor from the relevant major field of study for the program;
master’s program requires a minimum of 3 subjects, and the Doctoral program requires a minimum
of 4 subjects
-Test Content
A comprehensive evaluation of knowledge in the major field and related subfields.
-Passing Criteria
The passing score is 70 or higher out of 100 points.
Students can retake tests for subjects with unsatisfactory scores
-Test Administration and Result Submission
Administered by the respective departments, results are submitted to the Graduate School
