It was established to study and develop Korean language and literature.
It encourages students to enhance their understanding of themselves and the world through a thoughtful study of our language and literature.
They may proceed to graduate school at home or abroad after graduating
from the department, and they may become a school teacher, public official, novelist, poet, broadcasting writer or find employment in news media or publishing companies.
