The Innovation Design and Engineering Application Laboratory (IDEA Lab.) conducts research on soft structures, actuators, robots, as well as manufacturing processes for smart factories and advanced manufacturing systems

Soft actuator

  • Allow for efficient buoyancy in underwater robots that operate in environments with relatively high resistance compared to the atmosphere.
  • Can be utilized in parts requiring complex three-dimensional movements without size limitations.
  • Can simulate movements closer to actual biological motions and find applications in various fields such as the environment, disaster response, and ecological observation.
