Introduction to the lab

Research on power conversion systems for utilizing various energy sources in electrical/electronic systems, driving and controlling actuators such as electric motors and hydraulic devices, and digital control technology to control these systems.

Research content

1. Power conversion system research

(1) Research on high-efficiency power supply technology for home appliances and information devices

(2) Wireless power transmission technology for application to chargers for mobile electronic devices and electric vehicles

(3) Power conversion system for new and renewable energy, microgrid technology

(4) Analysis and design technology for magnetic elements (transformers, inductors, etc.) for high-efficiency/high-density power        conversion devices

(5) EMI/EMC analysis and design technology for high-density power conversion devices


2. Actuator (electric motor, hydraulic actuator) driving and control technology research

(1) High-efficiency/high-density AC and DC motor driving and control technology

(2) Power conversion device analysis and design technology for driving and controlling electric motors

(3) Analysis and design technology for electrohydraulic actuator control for aircraft


3. M&S (modeling & simulation) and digital controller design technology

(1) Modeling and simulation technology for analysis and design of power conversion devices, motor control systems, and electrohydraulic systems

(2) DSP design technology for high-performance digital control systems

(3) FPGA design technology for high-speed digital control
