The Department of Architecture aims to cultivate internationally recognized architects who are creative, intellectual, and imbued with social responsibility.
Specifically, the educational goals are to cultivate internationally recognized architects with a global perspective that corresponds to the demands of the times, professionals who understand local characteristics and lead their communities with a pioneering spirit, and intellectuals who not only have architectural expertise but also acquire and integrate knowledge in the humanities and social sciences.
In particular, since 2002, it has been operating a 5-year full-time architecture program based on the standards of the International Union of Architects (UIA) and possesses an educational standard and environment that satisfy the accreditation standards of the Korean Architectural Education Accreditation Board.
The major courses include Architectural Design 1-10, History of Architecture, Architectural Planning, Complex Planning, Modern Architecture, Traditional and Regional Architecture, Architectural Practice, Architectural Economics, Architectural Environment, Architectural Structural Design, Architectural Construction, Architectural Material Planning, and Building Systems, among others.
