The Engineering Education Innovation Center at Gyeongsang National University was established on March 1, 2006. It is responsible for supporting and managing the educational programs of the College of Engineering and other colleges at Gyeongsang National University to ensure that they operate according to international standards. Since the introduction of the engineering education accreditation system in Korea, the university has been preparing to adopt this accreditation. As a result, in 2003, four engineering education programs received preliminary accreditation, and efforts have been made to establish the engineering education accreditation system.

Active participation of faculty and students is essential to meet the accreditation standards of the Korea Engineering Education Accreditation Board, and dedicated efforts from professors are required. The center is committed to ensuring that all engineering education programs of the university operate as accredited programs that satisfy the standards of the Korea Engineering Education Accreditation Board.
