The Gyeongnam Jinju Small Area Special Zone Support Center was established to lead the successful construction and development of the Gyeongnam Jinju Small Area Special Zone, a small-scale, high-density concentrated space where research related to specialized areas (aerospace components and materials), housing, industry, and culture are concentrated, centered around the core technological institution, Gyeongsang National University.

Designated as a Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Research and Development Special Zone in August 2019 by the ‘19 Small Strong Special Zone Designation Notice,’ the Gyeongnam Jinju SME Special Zone aims to serve as a self-sufficient concentrated space for research in the aerospace components and materials field, and for residential, industrial, and cultural accumulation.
Established in January 2020, the Gyeongnam Jinju SME Special Zone Support Center is devoted to various businesses for the development and advancement of the Gyeongnam Jinju SME Special Zone. The center targets the activation of technology startups in the aerospace components and materials sector, the establishment of research-based companies, and the discovery and support of advanced technology companies. It is driving endeavors for outstanding technology discovery and linkage, technology startups and nurturing, innovation network fostering, and regional specialization enhancement.
