In 2015, Gyeongsang National University, Korea Southeast Power Co., Ltd., and Korea Southern Power Co., Ltd. jointly established the undergraduate program for the 'Department of Electrical Energy Engineering'.
The contract department actively implements the government's national policy of fostering competence-based talent and establishes a concurrent system for employment and academics. It provides academic theories in the power plant O&M field and offers specialized and professional practical training. This aims to nurture global talents equipped with creativity, knowledge, and practical abilities required in the field, contributing to the establishment of a 'Work to School' system where individuals work before pursuing further education.
