    Gyeongsang National University (GNU) Library plays a vital role in collecting and providing a wide range of academic information necessary for the educational and research activities of all users, including faculty, students, and local residents. The library system consists of six specialized libraries: the Central Library, Chilam Library, Medical Library, Law Library, Marine Science Library, and Ancient Literature Library.The library holds a comprehensive collection of over 1.7 million books and more than 86,000 types of academic journals, and offers access to various electronic resources, including electronic journals and international online databases.

    In particular, by upgrading our infrastructure and establishing a smart environment, we ensure that users can conveniently access library information anytime, anywhere. We provide diverse academic resources in real time through services such as mobile library access, wireless internet, integrated search for library collections, and online information literacy training.

  • Coverage: All electronic resources provided by the GNU Library are searchable by article title or author name.

Off-Campus Access Guide for Academic Databases & Electronic Journals

  • Access: GNU Library Website → Sign In (ID: Personnel ID / Password: Use the same password as GNU Portal System [default]). Once signed in, you can use the resources just like on-campus access by navigating to specific online databases through the library website.

  • Interlibrary Loan & Document Delivery Services (Tel: 0535)

    Description: Free or paid services that provide items unavailable at GNU by requesting them from other domestic university libraries or international institutions.

    • How to request
      • Sign up at RISS and ScienceON (formerly NDSL), obtain authorization from GNU library staff, and then submit your request through the "Interlibrary Lending and Document Delivery" menu on the library website.
  • Foreign Journal Support Center - Environment/Energy Section (6F, Central Library) (Tel: 0535)
  • Purchase Requests (Tel: 0516, 0517 / Chilam Library: 3190)
    • Description: If a necessary item is not available at GNU, you can request its purchase after signing in to the library website. You can track the purchase progress online, and you will receive a text message once the acquisition is complete.
  • Course Textbook Purchases (Tel: 0516, 0517 / Chilam Library: 3190)
    • Description: To support students' learning, the library prioritizes the purchase of textbooks and reference books listed on course syllabuses every semester.
  • Library Tours & Custom Instructions by Department (Tel: 0528 / Chilam Library: 3191)
    • Description: Tailored orientation programs are conducted for freshmen, external visitors, and specific departments to help them understand how to utilize the library effectively.
  • Academic Database Training (Tel: 0532)
    • Description: Online training programs featuring invited experts are held to help users efficiently utilize academic databases. Please visit the library website to check the schedule and apply.
  • Loan Requests for Items 'In Preparation' (Tel: 0511 / Chilam Library: 3192)
    • Description: To speed up access, users can request to borrow newly acquired items marked "In Preparation." The library will prioritize the cataloging and processing of these items for you.
  • Inter-Campus Lending (Tel: 0522)
    • Description: To borrow materials located on other GNU campuses, sign in to the website, find the item, and click the "캠" (CAM) icon to request delivery to your current campus. Delivery takes 2 to 5 days.
  • Loan Extensions & Reservations (Tel: 0522)
    • Description: If a desired item is currently checked out, you can place a reservation on the library website (sign-in required). Up to 3 users can join the waiting list for a single item.
  • Email & Text Message Alert Service (Sign-in required) (Tel: 0522)
    • Description: Register your email address and mobile number on the library website to receive automatic alerts, including general library notices, reservation status updates, due date reminders, and overdue notices.
  • Missing Item Reports (Tel: 0526, 0528, 0529)
    • Description: If an item marked "available" is missing from its designated shelf, please report it to the information desk or through the library website.
  • Nammyong Studies System (Tel: 0508 [Ancient Literature Library])
    • In case that an available item doesn't exist on the appointed bookshelf, report to the information desk in the library or at the library website.
