Graduate School of Entrepreneurship

The School was established, at first, in the name of “Graduate School for Venture Management” in 2000 to start cultivating those who want to start-up their venture business in the south east region of South Korea, and its name was changed to as it is now in 2005 on the occasion of the subsidy from the Small and Medium Business Administration to expand its area to global start-up of Koreans. When our university was consolidated in March 2021, the School was born again to be a Graduate School of Entrepreneurship as a stronghold graduate school of the state. At the moment master’s degree was granted to 682 graduates. The School has four strong points of education. First, the School has the largest scale of full-time teaching staff in Korea among the special types of graduate schools for start-up education and training. Second, curriculum specialized in agricultural start-up entrepreneurship by area is provided based upon the local resources of Mt. Jirisan and it also covers technical start-up and social venture start-up. Third, our university and adjacent areas were designated by the government as the Special Zone for Research and Development by a Small but Strong Entity in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do Province” to provide the most optimized environment for technical start-up in the area of the fourth industrial revolution including aerospace business. Fourth, the School is connected with the start-up networks organized by the alumni of the School who graduated for the past twenty years to get diversified assistance from them.
The School consists of the Department of Start-up and the Department of Sixth Industry. The School grants Meolguseul or abundant scholarships to students including the ones of high credit school record. Tuition for all the students of the Department of Sixth Industry is exempted. The Department was assessed to be “S” grade for three consecutive years in the evaluation of the results of operating its business. For continued education of the adults or office workers, the academic degree may be granted to them by way of thesis or credit, according to the rules of the university.
