About GNU
Gyeongnam’s national flagship university representing Korea
Gyeongsang National University (GNU), established on October 20, 1948, is a national flagship university with five campuses located in Jinju, Tongyeong, and Changwon in Gyeongsangnam-do.
Our university specializes in the fields of life sciences, aerospace systems, and nano new materials and chemistry, achieving significant results in academic development, talent cultivation, regional innovation, and industry-academic cooperation.
In particular, our university was selected as the first in Gyeongsangnam-do for the Ministry of Education's Glocal University 30 Project, with the vision of 'G.N.U., Glocal No.1 University in the Aerospace and Defense Field,' contributing to Korea's development as one of the world's top five space powers.
As the leading institution of higher education in Gyeongsangnam-do, GNU leads the reform of university education by pioneering creative ideas in education, research, teaching, learning, and administrative systems. This effort drives the advancement of higher education in Korea and stabilizes the regional education ecosystem. Furthermore, we are initiating 'warm changes in universities' by continuously reforming education, research, and learning programs to nurture pioneers in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital twin transformation.
We invite you to discover GNU, where professors are passionately dedicated to education and research, students thrive in a vibrant university culture and develop into global talents, staff members find joy and creativity in their work, and everyone aspires to visit at least once.
Thank you.
